About: Scoring: When Are Scores Reported?

All HSAs are scored by an external scoring company. The multiple-choice items are scored by machine. Beginning with the May 2009 administration the HSAs contain only multiple choice questions. Approximately 3 weeks after the HSAs are taken, the scoring company sends students' test scores to the local school system. The local school system then sends students' scores to the school, and the school, in turn, sends the scores home to parents. For questions about students' scores, contact your school system's Local Accountability Coordinator.

School, school system, and state results are posted on the Web at: MdReportCard.org.
